A beautiful example of the F.P. Journe Chronomètre Souverain in platinum, originally sold new in Houston in 2008 and offered as a complete full set. The platinum case appears to remain unpolished and shows only light wear from use, retaining its original proportions and character. The dial is flawless, as are the hands, and presents beautifully throughout. The watch is fitted with a black F.P. Journe alligator strap, showing approximately 80% condition, and its original platinum deployant clasp. There is no known service history; however, the movement has been checked and is performing very well, with an amplitude of approximately 300 degrees and a rate of around +5 seconds per day. A very attractive and well-preserved example of one of F.P. Journe’s most emblematic time-only creations, combining the understated presence of a platinum case with the exceptional finishing and traditional chronometric approach for which the manufacture is renowned.
