The present Breguet Classique reference 5907BB, dating to circa 2008 and bearing an AD-series number, is an elegant and beautifully preserved example of one of the manufacture’s most refined time-only wristwatches. The 34.6 mm case, executed in 18K white gold, appears to remain unpolished and retains excellent definition throughout. It shows only very light wear consistent with careful use, while the finely fluted caseband and slender straight lugs remain crisp and well preserved. The silvered dial is presented in immaculate condition, displaying the classical Breguet aesthetic with its finely engine-turned decoration, Roman numerals, and elegant blued steel hands. The original hands are equally well preserved and complement the dial beautifully. The watch is powered by a manually wound movement and features a discreet power-reserve indication visible through an aperture on the caseback, preserving the purity of the dial while adding a practical complication. The movement is finished in the traditional Breguet manner and remains in perfect working condition. It is fitted with a beautiful green suede strap, which is not of Breguet manufacture, and retains its original 18K white-gold ardillon buckle. No service history accompanies the watch. Combining compact classical proportions, a remarkably well-preserved case, and the timeless refinement of Breguet’s traditional design language, this reference 5907BB is a particularly attractive example of the Classique collection.
