The present Rolex Cosmograph Daytona reference 16520, dating to 1997 and bearing a T serial, is an exceptional example of the legendary Zenith-powered Daytona. Offered as a complete full set, this watch is distinguished by its highly desirable Patrizzi dial and extraordinary state of preservation. Preserved in like-new, unpolished condition, the watch still retains its original green caseback sticker as well as the factory sticker on the clasp, remarkable details rarely encountered on a Daytona that is nearly thirty years old. The stainless-steel case remains exceptionally crisp, while the original tachymeter bezel is likewise unpolished and beautifully preserved. The original black tritium “Patrizzi” dial is superb, with the chronograph sub-dials having naturally aged to a rich dark brown, the characteristic that has made these watches so desirable among collectors. All tritium lume plots are intact, and the original tritium hands match perfectly, creating a highly harmonious and authentic appearance. The original Oyster bracelet reference 78390 with 503B endlinks remains in outstanding condition and shows virtually no stretch, a testament to the careful preservation of the watch. The clasp bears the correct V9 date code. The watch is accompanied by an exceptionally complete set, including its original box, warranty papers, hang tags, calendar, booklets, and accessories. Originally sold in Germany, it represents one of the finest surviving examples of the reference.
