The present A. Lange & Söhne Grand Lange 1 Moon Phase “Lumen” reference 139.035, dating to 2017, is one of the most technically innovative and visually captivating creations ever produced by the Glashütte manufacture. Offered as a complete full set, this highly sought-after model was produced in a limited edition of only 200 pieces worldwide. Crafted in 950 platinum, the watch remains unpolished and is preserved in excellent overall condition, showing only very light wear consistent with careful use. It is fitted with a black Lange alligator leather strap in excellent condition and its original platinum deployant clasp. The defining feature of the “Lumen” collection is its semi-transparent smoked sapphire dial, which reveals portions of the movement beneath while allowing the oversized date discs and moon-phase display to glow in the dark thanks to a patented luminous system. The signature off-centre dial layout, large outsize date, power reserve indicator, and moon-phase complication combine to create one of the most recognizable and technically sophisticated displays in modern haute horlogerie. Powering the watch is the in-house manual-winding calibre L095.4, developed specifically for the Grand Lange 1 Moon Phase Lumen. Composed of 438 individual components, the movement features German silver bridges, a hand-engraved balance cock, screwed gold chatons, blued screws, and a 72-hour power reserve, all finished entirely by hand to the exceptional standards for which A. Lange & Söhne is renowned. While no service history accompanies the watch, it is in perfect working condition at the time of cataloguing.
