A well-preserved Rolex Oysterquartz Datejust reference 17000, dating to 1981 (serial 6.341XXX), originally sold in Hong Kong and offered with its original box and papers. The case has been polished in the past and shows only very light wear from use, while the caseback shows some light pitting, consistent with age. The reference and serial numbers remain crisp and well defined. The watch features an excellent original silver dial, very clean, with all tritium lume plots intact and aged to a beautiful patina, nicely matched by the original hands. The integrated Oysterquartz bracelet is original and shows no stretch, which is particularly desirable for this model. The clasp is stamped GC. The battery has just been replaced, and the watch is running properly. A clean and honest example of the iconic Oysterquartz Datejust, combining originality, full set provenance, and excellent overall condition.
