The present Rolex Submariner Date reference 16800, dating to 1983 and bearing serial 742XXXX, is an outstanding example of the transitional Submariner generation, combining vintage aesthetics with modern technical improvements such as sapphire crystal and increased water resistance. The stainless-steel case is preserved in excellent and sharp condition and has just returned from professional polishing, retaining strong proportions and crisp bevels throughout. The watch is fitted with its original matte black dial, preserved in fantastic condition and particularly attractive for its age. The tritium hour markers have developed a beautiful yellow patina, while the hands match perfectly, creating a highly desirable and harmonious vintage appearance. The original bezel insert remains in excellent condition and shows only very light wear, further enhancing the overall presentation of the watch. The watch is fitted with its original Oyster bracelet reference 93150 with 593 endlinks, preserved in excellent overall condition and showing very little stretch.
