A highly elegant and collectible Cartier Tortue Large from the celebrated CPCP (Cartier Privée Collection Paris) era, reference 2496C, dating to 2000 and originally sold in Italy. Crafted in yellow gold, this refined Tortue houses the renowned manual-winding caliber 430, based on a Piaget ultra-thin movement, perfectly suited to the elegant proportions of the case. The watch comes as a complete full set with box and papers. It was serviced by Cartier Geneva in 2025, including the replacement of the alligator strap. The case has been polished in the past and today shows only light wear from careful use. The watch is fitted with a new Cartier alligator strap and its original yellow gold deployant clasp. A superb example of an early CPCP Tortue, combining timeless Cartier design, an ultra-thin mechanical movement, and recent Cartier service.
